Steve will be laid to rest at Kauri Bay in Clevedon. He and his family invite you to join them for a service start time of 12pm, with reception to follow directly afterwards. Please note there is a shuttle bus on site to get to the lodge (more below). Allow plenty of time for arrival.

Both the service and the reception will be held at this venue. If you knew Steve, you’re welcome to join.

Parking is available on site at the Horse Arena at the bottom of the hill. From there, a shuttle will drive you to the top of the hill and back throughout the day. We recommend car-pooling if you can but if you’re struggling with transport, please let the family know and we will try to help.

PLEASE ALLOW PLENTY OF TIME to take the shuttle bus from the bottom of the hill to the top.

Yes, it is, and we think it’s worth it. We’re excited for you to join us in saying goodbye to Steve, and the scenic drive out there is a good time to take a deep breath, crank the music, and reflect on how beautiful life can be.

A jacket - it might be a little windy up on the hill. Nibbles and drinks will be available at the reception.

We (his wife Karen, and daughters Nacoya and Khenya) would love to hear your memories of Steve and see any pictures or videos you are willing to share. Please feel free to approach us at the service and reception. Steve spoke a lot about the people in his life so even if we’ve never met before, someone in our family probably will have heard your name.

There will be a memorial book at the venue and a moment in the service where people will be invited to speak if they wish.
